EPC-VT February ❤️ Meeting Summary

Hello everyone! 👋. Here is a brief summary of our February 20 committee meeting

In today’s meeting, we took a different approach – we added our information-sharing points to the agenda to let people read, but we spent our time discussing issues that we are grappling with.  We spoke about: 

• why it would be helpful for the consultants to assess Centre technological needs (digital skills, hardware, software, project support) through a survey;
• some of the sticky points about pedagodigital guilds and what they can do for VT;
• a new evaluation framework in the AGE sector that may (eventually) have an impact on the VT sector.

Next meeting we will be continuing our new approach to the meeting whereby members can add information they want to share in the agenda, but we will focus our attention to exploring a topic through a SWOT analysis.  For March’s meeting, we chose the topic of digital communication skills through the VT.PROCEDE.ca site.  (How very meta that I am posting this here!) We ask any member who would like to participate in our working session to think about elements of digital communications that they like-dislike (maybe bring examples, too!) before the meeting.  Our goal will be to identify aspects promoting or hindering VT stakeholders when adopting digital communication practices.
